Mt. Vernon Arts & Cultural Society, in partnership with the Mount Vernon Public Library, invites emerging and experienced artists to submit work for an exhibition exploring art, voting, democracy, and the power of the individual voice.

What to SubmitUp to 5 high-quality digital images (JPEG or PNG, max 300 DPI) and a brief artist statement (max 250 words)

Participation NoteArtists may submit up to 5 works. One artwork will be selected for exhibition. All accepted work must be ready to hang or display.

THE ART OF VOTING CHALLENGE

An exhibition in partnership with the Mount Vernon Public Library, inviting artists to explore the power of voting, democracy, representation, and individual voice through Photography, Sculpture, Mixed Media, and Poetry/Spoken Word. Selected works will be displayed at the Mount Vernon Public Library October 16 through November 13, 2026.

MVAC MONTHLY MEET & GREET

A casual networking event that brings together local artists, creatives, and community members to connect, share ideas, showcase their work, and learn about upcoming opportunities with the Mt. Vernon Arts & Cultural Society.

YOUTH PEACE POSTER CONTEST

A youth art contest held in partnership with the Mount Vernon Lions Club, Our Lady of Victory School, Amani Charter School, and Denzel Washington School of the Arts.
